The Scottish Huntington's Association (SHA) is a charity which provides specialist support services to families affected by Huntington's Disease (HD).
HD is an inherited condition that damages nerve cells in the brain, eventually leading to pyschiatric problems and difficulties with behaviour, feeding, communication and movement. Find out more about HD here.
Breathing Space and SHA are partner organisations, with Breathing Space able to offer out-of-hours emotional support to those affected by HD.
HD Awareness Week takes place 8th-14th June, with SHA hosting a parliamentary event on 11th June this year called "Aiming High - Making Good HD Care Better".
