World Alzheimer’s day takes place on 21st September and is an opportunity to raise awareness about this progressive condition.
Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia, which is a group of symptoms associated with a decline in mental abilities such as memory and reasoning.
Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland’s leading specialist dementia charity and works to improve the lives of everyone affected by dementia. According to Alzheimer Scotland approximately 84,000 people have dementia in Scotland in 2012.
