Deafblind Scotland Canal Run 2013

Deafblind Scotland works to improve the quality of life of deafblind people. The annual canal run takes place on 20th April 2013, starting at 2pm in Bishopbriggs. Breathing Space will be supporting the event and entering a team.

Paul McCusker, a member of ‘Team Breathing Space’ and a Deaf adviser on the Breathing Space British Sign Language (BSL) webcam service commented:

“I’m looking forward to taking part in the run; it should be a good turn out. There are lots of different issues people who have a sensory impairment face. By taking part in this run, I’m hoping to raise awareness of our twice weekly BSL webcam service. It gives people who are Deaf the opportunity to discuss any concerns that may be affecting their mental wellbeing”.

The BSL webcam service can be accessed from the Breathing Space homepage by clicking on 'BSL service'.
