A look back at Breathing Space Day 2015

The theme for Breathing Space Day 2015 was 'Stay connected' and encouraged Scots to look after their mental wellbeing through making connections with friends, family and the wider community.

Here are a few of the activities which took place:

  • The Breathing Space Advan started a tour of Grampian, beginning at Aberdeen International Airport and ending in Elgin



  • A 7-a-side football tournament took place for the Breathing Space Challenge cup, organised by Elgin FC
  • NHS Grampian staff at Dr Gray's hospital in Elgin welcomed the AdVan
  • The Breathing Space logo was projected in a light display in Aberdeen city centre, switched on by Aberdeen Lord Provost



  • Pocketcards were provided to fans attending the Motherwell FC vs St Johnstone match at Fir Park
  • RNIB Scotland held coffee mornings in different parts of the country
  • Conversation cafe on a Scotrail train in Aberdeen and pocketcards provided to commuters
