Breathing Space visited Vale of Leven FC, where the team received a mental wellbeing talk from Tony McLaren, Breathing Space National Coordinator.
"It was great to see the players again and talk about the support which is available from Breathing Space for anyone going through a difficult time. Being open and talking with friends, family or a helpline if you're feeling low, is one good way to help your mental health.
Playing football and other forms of physical activity can also help combat stress and feelings of anxiety. The players are great ambassadors for Breathing Space and are keen to help get the message across to the wider community to 'open up when you're feeling down'."
The Vale and Breathing Space have been working in partnership since 2015 promoting the phone service and encouraging an open approach to discussing mental health and wellbeing.
