This service is for people in Scotland
Nature has a major role to play in protecting and supporting our mental health. Millions of us turned to nature during the pandemic and it has brought in to sharp focus the importance of our green spaces and natural environments.
Whether you live in the city or in a more rural location, even small contacts with nature can reduce feelings of isolation and be effective in protecting your mental health and preventing distress.
This Mental Health Awareness Week aims to inspire more people to connect with nature in new ways, so why not learn more:
Naturescot – discover ways to get closer to nature from Scotland’s Nature Agency.
Paths for All – find a health walk near you.
Volunteer Scotland – search for conversation or gardening opportunities.
Scotland’s National Nature Reserves – find out more about these special places for wildlife and people.
If you are feeling low, stressed or anxious don’t forget you can call Breathing Space for support on 0800 83 85 87.
