Eye-catching mural helps promote festival

If you're out and about in Paisley you might notice a lovely mural in Lawn Street.

Local artist Mandi Cowan worked with Renfrewshire Community Mental Health Network Team to produce the eye-catching piece of artwork to help advertise the Scottish Mental Health Arts & Film Festival.

The festival, now in its eleventh year, is one of Scotland's most diverse cultural events, covering everything from music, film and visual art to theatre, dance and literature. The theme for this year's festival is 'Reclaim'.

Proud mum Carol, who has worked for Breathing Space, said: "I'm delighted that Mandi's design is being used to promote the festival. It's such a worthwhile festival, which promotes positive mental health and wellbeing across communities. Everyone should try to make the time to go to an event or exhibition."

Over 300 events are taking place across Scotland from 10-29 October, you can find out what's on here.
