Making positive emotional connections with others allows us to learn more about ourselves and the wider world but also helps us to more readily notice signs of distress in others and take action. Managing stress in the workplace

National Stress Awareness Day takes place on the first Wednesday in November each year The mental health charity Mind have developed some resources to help start conversations about stress in the workplace. Short film explores the stigma around poor mental health and how talking about how you feel is not a weakness.     The Grangemouth Contractors Safety Alliance (GCSA) worked alongside Forth Valley College to produce this award winning short film. New bench at the University of Edinburgh

A new Breathing Space bench was unveiled at Pollock Halls campus in the grounds of the University of Edinburgh Staff from the Accomodation, Catering and Events department of the University raised a fantastic £2000 for Breathing Space. A welcoming space was created at the campus for staff and students to take some 'breathing space' for better mental wellbeing.    Many of us have or will know someone who has suffered from anxiety, depression or low mood and have had that feeling of emptiness ...
