What is Breathing Space Day? It's a day in the health calendar which encourages us to take some time out for our mental wellbeing.
Whether it's going for a walk, having a coffee with friends, or reading a good book, taking some time out to relax can help our mental health.
When we're feeling stressed, muscles can become tight and tense. Other common signs of stress include being unable to concentrate, irritability, restlessness and not being able to sleep.
It's important to take steps to relax and de-stress before we feel unable to cope. Talking things through with friends, family or a helpline such as Breathing Space can also help.
